Indonesian
Indonesian — or Bahasa Indonesia as it is known by Indonesian speakers — is spoken by approximately 230 million people throughout the Indonesian archipelago. South East Asia has undergone enormous change over the past thirty years and as Australia’s closest Asian neighbor, Indonesia is a fascinating and affordable country in which to travel, study or work. Children in Year 3, 4 and Year 5 at WPS will learn to listen, respond and speak simple Indonesian. They will develop a cultural understanding of the country and its people through learning some history and geography and listening to music and songs.
