Our School - Principal's Message

A successful learning community

Our aim is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to achieve their academic, social and physical potential and to meet the challenges that life presents.

Willetton Primary is a successful school. This success is due to the blend of academic and social programs that operate within the school.

Willetton is successful because it has:

  • Committed and competent staff both in classrooms and support roles.
  • Parents that value education and support school programs.
  • Students who apply themselves to succeed.
  • Combined efforts from the home, the school and the students, each making their own contribution.

Each year many students are awarded Secondary School scholarships to study in specialist fields including the arts, various sports, computing, music and academic talent programs. The talents and success of our students however go well beyond the academic achievements reflected in NAPLAN assessments and individual scholarship honours and our school should not be judged solely on these wonderful achievements. The interpersonal relationships, the cooperation and harmony that exists as an integral part of our school culture are of equal importance. The students of Willetton Primary display social and emotional maturity that is a credit to them as individuals, their families and our school.

Throughout their schooling at Willetton students are encouraged to : Take care, take pride, face the challenges of life and accept responsibility for their actions. Above all else : “Inspiring Young Minds”.
