In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary.
Willetton Primary School is a local-intake school an as such, we only accept students who reside within our intake area (please click here to see our boundaries) . The exception to the local intake rule is at a Kindergarten level, where we may accept out of area enrolments if there are places available in our program. Out of area students will be unable to continue their schooling into our Pre-primary program the following year however.
All children who have a usual place of residence within our intake area, are automatically accepted for enrolment at Willetton Primary School.
If you and your family have recently arrived in Western Australia, it is recommended that you wait until you are settled with a permanent address before you apply as you need to include a proof of address in your application.
If you have arrived from overseas, you may need to provide additional information and pay tuition fees depending on the Visa you have. If you are planning on moving to Western Australia visit TAFE International to learn more about your enrolment options and the placement conditions that apply to you.
Application for enrolment
An application for enrolment form must be submitted for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Applications for 2023 Kindergarten students have closed. Applications for enrolment received for our Kindergarten program from now will be considered if there are places available.
Application for enrolment forms for Pre-primary to Year 6 can be submitted at any time. Editable PDF forms can be completed electronically or printed and completed by hand. Once completed, application for enrolment forms may be emailed to email@example.com.
If your application is successful, you will then be asked to complete a Student Enrolment Form from school. This form is included in a separate package of information that will be emailed to you by our school enrolment officer. Please note that the following documents are required in addition to the Application for Enrolment Form:
- Vaccination records – Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement, no more than two months old
- A copy of your child’s Birth Certificate
- A copy of your current rates bill if owner occupied OR a copy of your Rental Agreement with a minimum of 6 months Tenancy
- Latest electricity account
PLUS one of the following:
- Latest gas account
- Current bank statements showing the address
- Driver’s license
- Other supporting document bearing name and address

It is essential that all of the information on these forms are accurate and current. All medical information needs to be correct at time of enrolment to enable the school to create an emergency response plan if one is required.
